Due to lots of unexpected “stuff”, mostly from outer space, bogging me down I will regale you with the help of someone cute and cuddly. (remember, I did say I was winging this A-Z)
Please welcome Lucky, my little Jack Russell/Shih Tzu who turned thirteen this year. She looks young for her age; in human years she is ninety-one.
Besides Lucky I call her Lucy, Luce and Lucyfur when she’s being a little devil which is lots of the time.
I love her...and she loves me.
I get help when I’m working on my posts.
Sometimes I get attitude.
And I get smiles; yes, Lucky smiles!
And other times I get this "please stop typing and play with me" look.
So that's what I did today...
Lucky and I went for a long walk in our neighbourhood. While I was breathing in the beauty of this glorious Spring day Miss Lucy was doing the same...well, maybe she was breathing in a little deeper at times than me!
Lately I've noticed she's lost her hearing; she moves a little slower; she sleeps a little longer...I want to make deeper memories...just in case.
We had fun today - she’s cute and cuddly - I think I’m the “lucky” one!
Are you taking the time to breathe in deeply and love the one you’re with?
Cheers, Jenny
Pets enrich our life so much, miss my Naila!
ReplyDeleteI had a hard time holding the tears back when I wrote the part about "making deeper memories" - time really does go by too quickly.
DeleteWas Naila a dog too? I'm sorry for your loss, Claudia.
You know I love my puppies! Not just a man's best friend but a woman's too!
ReplyDeleteThe High Cost of this Low Living
I know you do - it show in your writing. I love how they have such unconditional love to give us - no strings attached, just pure love. It doesn't get better than that.
DeleteI can safely say that I have received my full and proper dosage of cute this morning thanks to this Jenny, these photos are just absolutely adorable! Some way to kick start my day for sure.
ReplyDeleteCute in the morning can set of my day too - and it does because I see this cute little face at the foot of my bed. She's so happy to see me and that brightens even the darkest of days.
DeleteI'm glad this kick started your day! :)
She is super cute! When we lived in Ireland our neighbour had a Jack Russell, he was a very peculiar dog. He sat every day like a statue outside the house waiting for his master to come home from work :)
ReplyDeleteHi Susanne - Welcome to Pearson Report.
DeleteJacks are like that - Miss Lucy can sit for hours by the basement window waiting for me to come home from work. I know this because my mother has the garden suite in my house and she finds it fascinating...and at times peculiar too! :)
I love the Lucky smiles! So cute and cuddly for sure!

Hey Dani - thanks for stopping by!
DeleteYes, Miss Lucy has quite the smile - I can't help lighting up when she gives me either of her looks. Cheeky or Cheerful she is a Charm! :)
I love her and she's as cuddly as they come. She's just as lucky to have you, Jenny. I understand about creating and cherishing more and more of those memories. One of dogs is thirteen and beginning to slow down too.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Elsie
There's a story behind her name and one day I'll post about it!
DeleteWe both are lucky, Elsie...she has been a little rock during some tough times. It will break my heart to pieces when her time here is done.
I agree, cute and cuddly.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sally. :) :)
DeleteCute yes but not as cute and cuddly as my dog
ReplyDeleteIt warms my heart to read when someone truly loves their dog above all else!
DeleteBut, my dog is still the cutest and cuddliest...to me! :P :P :) :)
Oh...and welcome to Pearson Report.
DeleteI hope you are enjoying the A-Z Challenge - I see we are neighbours on the list. :)
such a lovely beige colour, love that colour on dogs and horses!
ReplyDeleteShe has faded quite a bit as she's aged, but I agree it is a lovely colour. It will darken a wee bit as the warmer weather comes and then her "lucky penny" spot shows up on her back side. :)
DeleteLove my dogs. He is adorable!
ReplyDeleteHi Lauri - Welcome to Pearson Report.
DeleteIs that a husky you have? You're right he is adorable! My daughter's little dog Al was the feature of my A post.
Dogs are the glue that bind the soul, keep us sane and warm our hearts.
Thanks for stopping by.
Lucky is a cute and cuddly pup. I wish I could get a dog, but my cats would protest.
ReplyDeleteI'm the godmother of a darling and precocious Bengal cat named Eira - she had a procedure yesterday and I'm crossing my fingers all went well; she has a hypothyroidism and needed radiation to deal with it.
DeleteShe's cute and cuddly too - and is dog like in that she really does love to cuddle! Weird, eh!
Lucy-Fur... love that! Animals are just loving... not all some are nuts.
ReplyDeleteWhen Lucy was little she was a nutball! I'll have to dig out some of our earlier videos - I'm sure you'll agree she's nuts! But...a cute and cuddly nut all the same!
DeleteDoes Isabel go crazy and do nutty things - like tear up Archie comic books that she plucked from the book box in my daughter's room...oh, that was just too fun! I could only laugh and not get mad!
So sweet! I adore her changing expressions and especially love the one where she's sticking her tongue out at you! haha... cheeky puppy. I miss having a dog so much. Mine used to give me that look when I was on the computer, too. Cats are not so patient. Smokey walks right over my keyboard to get my attention. I couldn't live without her. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jenn - seems I missed replying to this comment - it's well after the fact, but I was perusing this post and saw my oversight... so I'm fixing that right now.
DeleteThanks for checking in on this post - pets are the best! I'm the godmother of an adorable Bengal cat - I'll have to do a post about her soon. :) :)
Thanks for stopping by.
we all should have such an adorable cuddle with us in life :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynn - Lucky has become more of a snuggled as she's gotten older - when she was little she had no time for that nonsense - she was far to busy chasing things! :)
DeleteAw, Lucky Lucyfur is absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteWhen she's naughty I call her Lucyfur in such a way that it causes folks to do a double take because I say it more like Lucifer...hehehehe...she's such a little shit...opps, Jackshit that is.
Delete(what we call a Jack Russell and Shih tzu mix) :)
You must have great times when you get Lucky and Alfie together!
ReplyDeleteYes, those two became fast buddies. Alfie has only been with my daughter since last June and was quite a little sad sack until she fattened him up and gave him the love that was missing in his young life.
DeleteLucky has taken on the "mom" role and shows him the ropes...he tries to mimic her. He's still learning fetch and bring...he fetches and takes. So cute!
Great reminder! My shih-tzu, Fozzie, agrees wholeheartedly!
ReplyDeleteCute name, maybe you can work Fozzie into your F post with a picture! I'd love to see him - or, you can send me a link if you've posted about him before. :)
DeleteThey do makes us happy and for that they deserve our love and devotion.
That smiling picture! So cute!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, but that's what you meant by this post.
I get it.
Yup, the smile gets you every time...even you, you old softy!
DeleteThanks for stopping in Al...are we having fun or what with A-Z!!
Too Cute and Too Cuddly starts with a T. Just kidding. I think she's adorable.
ReplyDeleteHi Desert Rocks - welcome to Pearson Report.
DeleteIf I could I'd work Miss Lucy into every post! She is too cute and too cuddly for her own good!!
Thanks for dropping by and checking her out.
Lucky is adorable, and the name is fitting as she's lucky to have you.
ReplyDeleteJulie
Thanks, Julie, for stopping by! As I said...we are both so lucky, my happiness quota is topped up every time I see her little furry face. I'm smiling as I write this, that's the way she affects me! :)
