Once again you all amazed me with your incredible comments. I knew you all had it in you to find a SMILE in the simple little things.
In a nutshell, here’s what brought smiles to your faces...
someone buying you a cup of coffee
new boho pant
laughing out loud with the Doc Martin series
reading funny posts
a daughter who treats mom out of her first pay check (big smiles for sure)
animals, pretty flowers, beautiful art, good movies
hugs from sweet children, time with hubby, listening to new music
pure bliss with how this awesome A toZ is moving along
getting text massages and replies from special people
phone calls from granddaughters a distance away
flowers, a loved one, lunch with the boss with blessings and all
keeping a happy tone, fun cartoons
walking the dog in nature reserve, singing along to the radio
all kinds of small things too.
Thank you all for adding extra smiles to yesterday's post.
OKAY… HERE WE GO…
Today, which is half over, I want to tell you what happens when your wings get clipped.
You fall, go boom, and then need rest.
Yup, I tripped up… paid the piper, but I’m here to say, “It’s all part of the journey.”
Ah… you’re curious, right…
Well, it’s like this. I was burning the midnight oil for the last several weeks… work, A to Zing it, writing my 15 minute bits, construction issues, sofa issues which really means mother issues, birthdays… etc.
The thing I forgot to factor in was my nightly trip into slumberland. Well, all of a sudden, yesterday, I almost fell off my chair while formulating my post.
It was me, or it… it lost, my sleep won. Good call, right?
I knew you'd understand! THANKS!
I came back from my TRIP to slumberland refreshed and ready to tackle the day.
So… anything TRIP you up lately?
Cheers, Jenny
A special shout out to Arlee Bird, from Tossing It Out. He’s the Founder and Creator of the April Blogging from A to Z Challenge, As well as being a blogging friend, he is a great motivator and an inspiring leader. Thanks Lee - you rock!
Nothing tripped me up today but I found out that when I returned to one of my favorite coffees, that I no longer liked it, and dumped it down the drain.
ReplyDeleteOh, and yesterday I tried my first ever sardine and LOVED it.
I have that with beverages too - not only coffee! I did that with wine. I thought it was okay one day, and then it somehow tasted sour the next. Tossed it and won't buy it again.
DeleteHow did you serve the sardine? On something, in something, or just dangling over your mouth? LOL
I can trip over my own feet. My hubby almost tripped me up because he wanted to use the computer and I had to say "NOOOOOOOOOO" :) He can have it next Friday:)
ReplyDeleteLOL - feet do get in the way! I was wearing shoes that have a rubber sole and almost tripped over a crack in the pavement - didn't lift my foot high enough. Footwear can be such a danger! hahahaha
DeleteWill hubby be that patient - because WOW if he is he's a keeper! LOL
Snow tripped me up a little after getting sunburned while working in the garden just 4 days prior.
ReplyDeleteWhen you told me that I thought man my buddy lives in the Twilight Zone - who gets snow at the end of April? No, really, who? Ah… YOU! LOL
DeleteMandatory overtime has tripped me up through this whole A/Z challenge :)
ReplyDeletebetty
Ah… is that mandatory overtime with hockey, or work? Either would be a bummer during this A/Z Challenge. Life is tripping with me! :) :)
DeleteThe rug? Or maybe the shelves I was trying to move to Kiddo's room could not go in until I moved a storage case and that got stuck on Honeyman's card boxes. But, I got it all done.
ReplyDeleteSo in a nutshell the domestic monster was to blame. I have one that trips me up all the time. So much so I raise my arms in submission and just sit and enjoy my coffee. :)
DeleteI have regular sleep issues Jenny, from my Fibromyalgia and by the fifth or sixth day straight of getting interrupted sleep every night, it catches up to me like a punch in the gut. I know how stressed I feel and like I'm running purely on caffeine. You do need to find a way to get regular rest said Dr. Barb!! We need you in Bloggerland ! Hugs and love XX
ReplyDeleteGenerally I have solid sleeps. This year, what with my "thing" I am suffering in the sleep department so I totally relate, Barb - it's a drag to have the reenergizing phase interrupted. Add to it other things, like this A to Z (which I love) and I find myself shorting myself in getting enough sleep. It only takes a few days of lacking it and I'm finished. That's what happened with "T", I totally had to make the call… sleep trumped.
DeleteAnd… thanks for needing me out here - that was "big smile" worthy. xxoo
Not lately. Knock on wood.
ReplyDeleteLucky you… I guess it was my turn, way too many late nights.
DeleteA lack of sleep absolutely tripped me up yesterday. I finally made up for it last night...sort of!
ReplyDeleteI see we are reading out of the same play book… problem is we need to read from the sleep book to balance it all out. It finally got the better of me. I hope yours was a sound and restful one. :) :) xo
