E is for GET ENERGIZED - according to Miss Lucyfur.

☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀
Welcome to Pearson Report.
I am participating in the 2015 A to Z Challenge.

Yes, I will be adhering to my THEME Calendar.

☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀

So, here we are after a little REST. (That’s a day off in A to Z Challenge lingo.)

Let’s recap… I left you with my DO SOMETHING post.

Well… did you DO SOMETHING? I hope so. You can be rest assured I do something everyday.

OKAY… HERE WE GO…

Today I’m handing my blog over to Miss Lucyfur.

She’s going to talk to you about SLEEP.

The quickest way to GET ENERGIZED is to get SLEEP.

So… on that note.

Here’s Miss Lucyfur…

It would seem Miss Lucyfur is sleeping...

I think she would want you to know you will GET ENERGIZED if you get SLEEP.

Well, does sleep energize you?

Or do you wake up exhausted?

Cheers, Jenny

Miss Lucyfur's real name is Lucky. She is also Lucky Lucky Pow Pow, Lucy and Excuse Me. LOL

Thanks, dear Dezzy, for stopping by and starting my day with your cute little avatar - that gets me energized for sure! :) :)

Thanks Dani, for checking in of us sleepy heads! :) :)

  4. Most dogs want to play and go on walks and run all over the yard... this is just like mine. The biggest adventure of his day is finding a new spot to sleep. And yes, like father like son, as I'm a huge fan of the power nap.

    1. One day, while reading Game of Thrones (finally on Book Four) Miss Lucy was sleeping in her living room beddie (she has three around the house), I had my camera ready as she repositioned herself about twenty times in the short while I was reading. It was too funny.

These shots are a few of my favourite, particularly the one where she is sleeping on my Miss CP's legs. Any place will do… even my ring binder… well, when you gotta sleep, you gotta sleep. Kinda like peeing, I guess. LOL

  5. I had a busy weekend, so I'm considering an afternoon nap at the moment. I usually wake up a little bit tired, but exercise energises me. Cute dog :-)

    1. Exercise it the ultimate energizer… but in my house it runs a very distant second. hahahaha

Power napping is great. I've been known to catch a few midday zzzz's. Like you, lately my sleep isn't as solid. Used to be you could have a marching band, bugles and all, outside my window and I'd be out for the count… then came "the pause"… need I say more!

Thanks Annalisa - glad you had the energy to drop by and share your smile. xo

  6. Can't say I can fit in most of those spots, or that my back would like it, haha but sleep sure does energize most days, when I can get it.

She does make it look inviting though, doesn't she.

    1. Hi Danielle, welcome to Pearson Report.
Lucyfur is all about the sleep. I will say, when I take her for a walk (more of a little run) she's got me huffing and puffing. I laugh because she is 15 years old.
I'm the one that should be keeping her huffing and puffing. LOL

I'm a morning person too, and lately, with this A to Z, I'm up later than usual and that does play havoc with my headspace - it's foggy!

Thanks for stopping by and visiting. I hope you are enjoying the A to Z. :) :)

Thanks for giving Miss Lucyfur some blog love… I know she appreciates it. :)

  9. I just love how dogs can sleep just about anywhere! And even snore at times :) Ms. Lucyfur is adorable. I hope she does get energized after her naps. Depends if I have a restless night or not if I wake up energized or exhausted :)

    1. Miss Lucyfur is very energized - I just love her sleeping poses. She'll dig and twirl until she finds just the right spot. And, at 15 years old, she's just started snoring… bless her sweet little being. If it were a man, he'd be turfed. LOL

I'm the same, Betty, if I've had a restless night I suck in morning. I need at least 6 solid hours to be energized and ready to go.

Thanks for the visit… did I tell you I love that picture of the bench, so beautiful. :) :)

    1. She can sleep anywhere, and that's a typical cat thing. I think I have he best of both worlds I have a pussydog - but she doesn't meow, though like a cat, she doesn't come when called. (might be because she's lost her hearing… poor dear, she's 15 years old) :)

Thanks for the visit, Susie - do you have a pet? Just wondering...

    1. Ouch… I've had a root canal, but not because of tooth pain, which really sucks I'm told. I've had mine because of a crack in the tooth - couldn't just be filled.

Good luck with the recovery, takes a few days.

I hope you get to fall into a Miss Lucyfur like sleep… she's the best little sleeper. And yes… she's cute. :) :)

Thanks for stopping by - always a treat to see you here. With smiles xo

  13. Oh Lucyfur is so cute but wonder how she got her name which I love BTW:) I love the 2nd last shot of her-too cute. I am still recovering from my illness-cough is the last to go so I slept in today big time. I also will have a restless sleep often. I once went to a sleep clinic and it was found that I was in "waking mode" 23 times per minute so I get little REM sleep

    1. Lucky is her name. When she was little she was a little devil (she's part Shitzu and part Jack Russell) so I nicknamed her Lucyfur, said Lucifer. I would laugh myself silly as people would look at me calling my dog that… but she was a little terror.

Now, she's older (15) and so mellow. Her hearing is gone, her eyes clouded… but her heart is as big as ever. I love her to bits. I know her time is coming to a close so I take tons of photos.

When we got for our daily walks you'd never know she was as old as she is. She still runs like she's a pup… me panting as I follow.

That's interesting what they found about your sleep. That's tough. I couldn't imagine going without my good solid sleep. All my life I've been lucky to have a pretty good go of sleeping. Even during menopause - now though, I do find myself tossing the odd night, but that's probably because of a late bite and a glass of wine. On the nights I don't eat after 7pm I'm good to go!

Thanks for dropping by - you leave such great comments - hugs to you. xxoo

    2. I was nodding off earlier today-like I was bit by the tse tse fly. My friend has a new pug and her name is Quinn but I call her Biru which I heard is Finnish for Devil:)

      Delete
    3. For a minute there I had to do a double take regarding that tse tse fly bit - then I realized you were still alive… whew, had me worried there! :) :)

I find dog names to be quite interesting. Your choice of Biru is funny - that's what Lucyfur is, a little Devil. When I call her it sounds exactly like Lucifer.

One day a person stopped me and asked if I really named my dog Lucifer. They seemed indignant - so I said, "Yes, she's the Devil's spawn", then I walked away with my little devil still growling in her direction. It was too funny.

Well, at least you're getting sleep, even if it is in bits and pieces. I have that happen once in a rare while. Fortunately I have a good sleep more than not.

I hope this evening finds you getting a good rest… sleep well, dear Hilary.

  15. If there was ever an animal that could teach you a thing about sleep it would be dogs. We have a greyhound which a lot of people think are very energetic. Yes he is for about 15 minutes a day... then he just lounges about the place.

Sometimes I feel energized when I wake up others not so much. I think it depends on how I woke up. If I wake up naturally I'm fine, if the alarm clock wakes me up not so much

    1. Hi Chippy - welcome to Pearson Report.

You can't be fooled by looking at a dog and thinking "hey that one needs lots of walks". Like your dog, I've seen bigger dogs that are very happy curled up in a ball and running in their dreams.

I'm good too if I wake up naturally, if I haven't had enough sleep, and the alarm wakes me before I'm topped up I'm a bear! A growling one at that! :)

Thanks for dropping in… hope to see you again. Cheers, Jenny

  20. Miss Lucyfer is so darned cute! Sleep is a precious thing when you have fibromyalgia. Many nights are spent awake, tossing, turning, hurting. When you get one of those nights when sleep comes and you wake up the next morning knowing you didn't even move...it's a gift from the gods! Great post! Hugs XX
