Let’s recap… I left you with my DO SOMETHING post.
Well… did you DO SOMETHING? I hope so. You can be rest assured I do something everyday.
OKAY… HERE WE GO…
Today I’m handing my blog over to Miss Lucyfur.
She’s going to talk to you about SLEEP.
The quickest way to GET ENERGIZED is to get SLEEP.
So… on that note.
Here’s Miss Lucyfur…
It would seem Miss Lucyfur is sleeping...
I think she would want you to know you will GET ENERGIZED if you get SLEEP.
Well, does sleep energize you?
Or do you wake up exhausted?
Cheers, Jenny
A special shout out to Arlee Bird, from Tossing It Out. He’s the Founder and Creator of the April Blogging from A to Z Challenge, As well as being a blogging friend, he is a great motivator and an inspiring leader. Thanks Lee - you rock!
he he Miss Lucyfur looks comfy :) My tomcat Ignatius had a pet cat named Lucia :)
ReplyDeleteDoesn't she though. A woman after my own heart. I love the name of your cat, both of them.
DeleteMiss Lucyfur's real name is Lucky. She is also Lucky Lucky Pow Pow, Lucy and Excuse Me. LOL
Thanks, dear Dezzy, for stopping by and starting my day with your cute little avatar - that gets me energized for sure! :) :)
I think Miss Lucyfur is living my kind of life.
ReplyDeleteHaHa - she takes after her owner… We are or the sawing-the-logs clan, an old, old, clan, descendants from some obscure greek god - Sleepy, or was that one of the seven dwarfs… hmmm, must sleep on that.
DeleteThanks Dani, for checking in of us sleepy heads! :) :)
I love those images, makes me very... very...very. I am asleep!
ReplyDeleteHmmm… maybe I'm on to something… hypnosis by Lucky! LOL Just look at these photos, now repeat after me…
DeleteThanks Jeremy, for dropping by and….. yawn… what was I saying… LOL
zzzzzz, zzzzzz, zzzzzz, zzzzzzz.... mmmmmm pancakes..... zzzzz :)
Deletewakey, wakey… bacon's burning… mmmm I could go for a stack of pancakes, smothered in 'real' Canadian maple syrup… none of that fake stuff for me. IHOP here I come… hahahahahahhaha
DeleteMost dogs want to play and go on walks and run all over the yard... this is just like mine. The biggest adventure of his day is finding a new spot to sleep. And yes, like father like son, as I'm a huge fan of the power nap.
ReplyDeleteOne day, while reading Game of Thrones (finally on Book Four) Miss Lucy was sleeping in her living room beddie (she has three around the house), I had my camera ready as she repositioned herself about twenty times in the short while I was reading. It was too funny.
DeleteThese shots are a few of my favourite, particularly the one where she is sleeping on my Miss CP's legs. Any place will do… even my ring binder… well, when you gotta sleep, you gotta sleep. Kinda like peeing, I guess. LOL
I had a busy weekend, so I'm considering an afternoon nap at the moment. I usually wake up a little bit tired, but exercise energises me. Cute dog :-)
ReplyDeleteAnnalisa, writing A-Z vignettes, at Wake Up, Eat, Write, Sleep
Exercise it the ultimate energizer… but in my house it runs a very distant second. hahahaha
DeletePower napping is great. I've been known to catch a few midday zzzz's. Like you, lately my sleep isn't as solid. Used to be you could have a marching band, bugles and all, outside my window and I'd be out for the count… then came "the pause"… need I say more!
Thanks Annalisa - glad you had the energy to drop by and share your smile. xo
Can't say I can fit in most of those spots, or that my back would like it, haha but sleep sure does energize most days, when I can get it.
ReplyDeletehahahaha - I wished I had Miss Lucy's ease,
Deleteto sleep in any spot I please.
She does make it look inviting though, doesn't she.
Thanks Pat, for stopping by with a rhyme and a hi for Lucy and me.
Lucyfur is adorable! Emma likes her sleeping schedule! I'm a morning person, so I usually wake up feeling pretty refershed unless I wnet to bed too late the night before.
ReplyDeleteHi Danielle, welcome to Pearson Report.
DeleteLucyfur is all about the sleep. I will say, when I take her for a walk (more of a little run) she's got me huffing and puffing. I laugh because she is 15 years old.
I'm the one that should be keeping her huffing and puffing. LOL
I'm a morning person too, and lately, with this A to Z, I'm up later than usual and that does play havoc with my headspace - it's foggy!
Thanks for stopping by and visiting. I hope you are enjoying the A to Z. :) :)
Awwww so cute!! That's my kind of dog ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anne Marie… she is a sweetie. Coming up to her 15th birthday - hard to imagine where the time flies. The photo of her curled up in the leg, is of my daughter. I had bought Miss Lucyfur (aka Lucky) for her, but wee dog lives with me.
DeleteThanks for giving Miss Lucyfur some blog love… I know she appreciates it. :)
I just love how dogs can sleep just about anywhere! And even snore at times :) Ms. Lucyfur is adorable. I hope she does get energized after her naps. Depends if I have a restless night or not if I wake up energized or exhausted :)
ReplyDeletebetty
Miss Lucyfur is very energized - I just love her sleeping poses. She'll dig and twirl until she finds just the right spot. And, at 15 years old, she's just started snoring… bless her sweet little being. If it were a man, he'd be turfed. LOL
DeleteI'm the same, Betty, if I've had a restless night I suck in morning. I need at least 6 solid hours to be energized and ready to go.
Thanks for the visit… did I tell you I love that picture of the bench, so beautiful. :) :)
I don't wake up exhausted.
ReplyDeleteI wake up Grumpy, though.
Unless I decide to let her sleep in.
Hello King Haiku (moving on from Mr. Bones)
DeleteDoes dear Mrs. P know you've given her this love handle! Just wondering… that's all. Handles are so personal.
Coming at you live, it's Gunk in eye girl, Cool J
Actually, I think she does. Although...maybe not. She hasn't read a single word I've written. When I quiz her about my first book, she says, "Of COURSE I know what it's about. It's about a toilet covered in shag carpet!"
Delete;-(
Well, she's right. I read it, that's what it's all about… a toilet covered in shag carpet - geez, man, don't you even know what you written. LOL
DeleteLucyfur reminds me of a cat!
ReplyDeleteShe can sleep anywhere, and that's a typical cat thing. I think I have he best of both worlds I have a pussydog - but she doesn't meow, though like a cat, she doesn't come when called. (might be because she's lost her hearing… poor dear, she's 15 years old) :)
DeleteThanks for the visit, Susie - do you have a pet? Just wondering...
Oh sweet sleep indeed-hoping to get some tonight after days of tooth pain-had a root canal today-very cute pup!
ReplyDeleteOuch… I've had a root canal, but not because of tooth pain, which really sucks I'm told. I've had mine because of a crack in the tooth - couldn't just be filled.
DeleteGood luck with the recovery, takes a few days.
I hope you get to fall into a Miss Lucyfur like sleep… she's the best little sleeper. And yes… she's cute. :) :)
Thanks for stopping by - always a treat to see you here. With smiles xo
Oh Lucyfur is so cute but wonder how she got her name which I love BTW:) I love the 2nd last shot of her-too cute. I am still recovering from my illness-cough is the last to go so I slept in today big time. I also will have a restless sleep often. I once went to a sleep clinic and it was found that I was in "waking mode" 23 times per minute so I get little REM sleep
ReplyDeleteLucky is her name. When she was little she was a little devil (she's part Shitzu and part Jack Russell) so I nicknamed her Lucyfur, said Lucifer. I would laugh myself silly as people would look at me calling my dog that… but she was a little terror.
DeleteNow, she's older (15) and so mellow. Her hearing is gone, her eyes clouded… but her heart is as big as ever. I love her to bits. I know her time is coming to a close so I take tons of photos.
When we got for our daily walks you'd never know she was as old as she is. She still runs like she's a pup… me panting as I follow.
That's interesting what they found about your sleep. That's tough. I couldn't imagine going without my good solid sleep. All my life I've been lucky to have a pretty good go of sleeping. Even during menopause - now though, I do find myself tossing the odd night, but that's probably because of a late bite and a glass of wine. On the nights I don't eat after 7pm I'm good to go!
Thanks for dropping by - you leave such great comments - hugs to you. xxoo
I was nodding off earlier today-like I was bit by the tse tse fly. My friend has a new pug and her name is Quinn but I call her Biru which I heard is Finnish for Devil:)
DeleteFor a minute there I had to do a double take regarding that tse tse fly bit - then I realized you were still alive… whew, had me worried there! :) :)
DeleteI find dog names to be quite interesting. Your choice of Biru is funny - that's what Lucyfur is, a little Devil. When I call her it sounds exactly like Lucifer.
One day a person stopped me and asked if I really named my dog Lucifer. They seemed indignant - so I said, "Yes, she's the Devil's spawn", then I walked away with my little devil still growling in her direction. It was too funny.
Hi Jenny .. Lucky is one lucky dog .. and she looks amazing - good for her age - and sleep does Energise us .. I could do with more .. I sleep like a log, but wake up fairly often which is a nuisance, but part of my life ... thankfully I fall asleep again.
ReplyDeleteCheers Hilary
I'm lucky too - because she's in my life.
DeleteWell, at least you're getting sleep, even if it is in bits and pieces. I have that happen once in a rare while. Fortunately I have a good sleep more than not.
I hope this evening finds you getting a good rest… sleep well, dear Hilary.
With smiles and hugs, Jenny xxoo
If there was ever an animal that could teach you a thing about sleep it would be dogs. We have a greyhound which a lot of people think are very energetic. Yes he is for about 15 minutes a day... then he just lounges about the place.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I feel energized when I wake up others not so much. I think it depends on how I woke up. If I wake up naturally I'm fine, if the alarm clock wakes me up not so much
Chippy
Hi Chippy - welcome to Pearson Report.
DeleteYou can't be fooled by looking at a dog and thinking "hey that one needs lots of walks". Like your dog, I've seen bigger dogs that are very happy curled up in a ball and running in their dreams.
I'm good too if I wake up naturally, if I haven't had enough sleep, and the alarm wakes me before I'm topped up I'm a bear! A growling one at that! :)
Thanks for dropping in… hope to see you again. Cheers, Jenny
Nearly 11pm and I'm ready for bed. Lucy has the right idea.
ReplyDeleteI took a page out of Lu's book too.
DeleteLast night (the 6th) I was in bed at 10pm, didn't have my F post ready, but thought sleep was more important.
Got up at 6am this morn(7th) and felt raring to go! Got my post done and out the door by 8:30.
Still feeling great as I write this! Hope you woke feeling refreshed too!
I'm still having a difficult time getting balanced with the change of time. I may just have to give in and go to bed at 10 p.m. for a couple of nights.
ReplyDeleteTake 25 to Hollister
That's one thing that never affects me - the hour forward or back - also flying into different time zones doesn't bother me. (I always knew I was an alien) :)
DeleteThanks for stopping in, Susieee! Always a treat!
What a dog's life can be.. I'd probably have more energy if I got more sleep, but I don't so I drink more coffee. I'm on call 24 hours, so coffee helps me endure.Good thing I like it. . .
ReplyDeleteNext life… I want to be the dog which is owned by me! hahahaha I'm a good owner (I think). I love my wee gal, though I do have to let her know who the boss is. We both forget at times! LOL
DeleteI'm a coffee addict - love my 20 cups a day - hahahaha, okay, only 6!
Good to see you DG - hope today sees the sun shining on you! :) xo
Miss Lucyfer is an absolute delight! :)
ReplyDeleteHey Linda - thanks for dropping into Pearson Report. :) :)
DeleteYes, she is - I took Miss Lu's advice to heart the other night - this staying up late to post my A to Z Challenge is taxing. But, I love it! :) :)
Miss Lucyfer is so darned cute! Sleep is a precious thing when you have fibromyalgia. Many nights are spent awake, tossing, turning, hurting. When you get one of those nights when sleep comes and you wake up the next morning knowing you didn't even move...it's a gift from the gods! Great post! Hugs XX
ReplyDeleteI sure hope you get good sleeps regularly. It would be so frustrating to wake up feeling beat, and then deal with pain on top of that.
DeleteThanks for coming by to check out Miss Lu's post - she's sending you sloppy kisses and I'm sending warm hugs. A double dose of love! xo
Looks like my Lacey all day. My old kitty needs her rest.
ReplyDeleteYour Lacey, my Lucy, and me - we all need our rest. You can join us on the slumber train. Leaving in 5 minutes. LOL
DeleteZzzzzzzzz...looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha - sometimes I wished I could curl up anywhere and saw logs like my little Lucy… she does have it down pat, that's for sure. :) :)
DeleteI love puppy photos. So great. Our two goobers are passed out on the couch, soon for me to follow and get more rest.
ReplyDeleteHappy Day & Boogie Boogie :-)
Yup, me and Lu we love our snoozing time. If only I could clone myself so while I'm off dreaming the house work would be taken care of. That's the worst part about napping… something doesn't get done! Oh darn! xxoo
