SHOT in DAYLIGHT. Now PICTURE the STORY.

Out for a run, feet pounding in time with tunes keeping me steady at a 9 1/2 minute mile, my mind wanders.

I let my eyes scan the horizon for the unique and different.

Not needing to look far, there up ahead, coming toward me were two very interesting characters… as if they’d stepped right out of Inkheart and were wanting to be read back home.

I envisioned a great story unfolding before me…

Obliging me, I was able to shoot them from a few angles - their inhibition and youthful exuberance was captivating.
Exciting, yet mystical at the same time.

Now, picture the story you could write...

When out and about HOW do you capture the moment?

Cheers, Jenny

    1. Thanks Andrea, they were too adorable - more than happy to ham it up for the camera.
They were the fun before my run in the cemetery where things got really weird - dead birds, cawing crows… and a stranger lurking by the hedge.
All things considering I don't have to look too far to get inspiration for my writing, it seems to pop out of nowhere. Which, I love!

      Smiles coming your way!

  2. That's awesome. I always find myself getting new story ideas while going for a run. You, however, have the advantage, because they'd probably get a very different idea if *I* asked them to stop and pose for me...

    1. The Beer Boys!

Geez, now I really gotta snap to it and think of something profound and apocalyptic, you know, memorable, as my retort.

Which then brings me to this…

I don’t do Widgety things - I’ve already provided a LINK (here it is again) and… my neighbour is stoked!

Yes, I’l be a gracious WINNER and do a guest post! I know you want to ask but have been uber shy.

Oh… and about this post - yeah, you'd get something VERY different - ‘cause you're way more charming then I'll ever be in my girl costume.

    1. Hey, Jeremy - my favourite Retro!
Never apologize for everything - just the lack of visits will do! And I accept!! hahahaha
Man, I've gotta lay of the java (like 5 cups already) if I'm going to reply and sound sweet and sincere! How am I doing! :P

Anyhow, I love when your Avatar shows up in my comment area - makes me feel like a wise and worldly chap thinks I'm worth the effort - so, thank you! (most sincerely)

I hope life is good - you deserve it! Smiles are coming your way.

    2. :)... thank you, you always make my visits warm and welcome. I had to cut back on the java, damn health issues. Be well, be safe and always remember to have a good case of the giggles.

  4. The roving photographer strikes again! Looks like retro-punk or is it neo-punk?

btw - I haven't forgotten email, it will come. We spent Father's Day at daughter's due to another episode. We have learned to be uber-flexible.

    1. Hey - I like that "roving photographer" - thanks for stopping by DG.

No worries about the email - only when it works for you… I'm not going anywhere. I hope Father's Day at daughter's worked out for all of you. Hugs.

  5. That was a very odd day for you! Those girls look fun. I bet they don't ever look back in life and say, "I wished we would have...".

    1. I'd like to take a page out of their book… or a hole out of their stockings - either way I don't want to look back (anymore) and wonder "what if…"

Time to live a little - run into a cemetery and dive into a hole, right?! :) :)

What have you been up to, dear girl!? No recipes, no post - how's am I supposed to cope if you all stop blogging - only I'm allowed to cop out!

So, get that cute tush of your right back to your blog and post, woman… post!
If nothing else - a few recipes now that gardening season is upon us.

Oh… and yeah, taking the camera everywhere is paramount - you never know when you're going to shoot the next big six o'clock new special! Fame awaits!

Great seeing you here - smiles are coming your way. :)

  7. What good sports! Like you say, their inhibition and youthful exuberance was captivating. Ah, youth is wasted on the young :)

    1. Welcome to Pearson Report, Wendy!

I guess if we opt never to grow up than youth really isn't wasted… at least I'm sticking to that being my excuse for the silliness I pull off - blaming it on my inner child.

I found these two girls colourful - in wardrobe and personality! If it had been a dismal, grey day they would have been walking rainbows.

    1. Ah… the rich, colourful pageant of life. What would we really do, though, if life was without the the variations… it would indeed be dull.

What struck me was the energy - happiness - true lust, if you will, these gals exuded as they bounded toward me.

    1. It caught me as something truly done for their own delight and pleasure - I was brightened by the encounter.

Of course, after seeing them I ran straight into the dead bird and feathers in the cemetery - weird. (wrote about it in my last post)

Since this is the first time I've been here, I assumed one of 'em was you! I think we need to go shopping. I prefer the outfit on the left.

    1. Hi Susie - welcome to Pearson Report!

I giggled just thinking which one I'd like to be - if indeed I was one of them. I think I would choose the left too - good call.

Most importantly, for me, they brightened my day - started my five mile run with some big smiles.

They look like they are really enjoying their lives and living it to the fullest. Go you for running - and doing it so well. I'd collapse at the end of my driveway but that's a whole different story ;)

    1. Hey Elsie - I realize I never replied - thanks for always dropping in and giving my your support - hugs to you - you rock. And… you'd be just fine out there doing the whole running thing - trust me… it's one foot in front of the other - one block at a time. I was a slow starter and worked my way up. Hugs, Jenny xo
