Merry Christmas! If that doesn't work, then Happy Holidays!

From my newly renovated home (well, not quite finished) to yours I wish you the very best of this holiday season.

My daughter and I have had a photo with Santa every year since she was a wee tyke and this year was no exception - yes, she’s a sport as it’s me that’s in need of my yearly Santa fix.

So… here we are!

In this photo I want you to see, and feel, the happiness and joy we are sending all of you.

Be at peace, smile, and know that all you really have is the minute you are living in right now. So, stop fretting and enjoy it - it will be gone in a blink.

Make happy memories - be kind to each other - and above all be kind to yourself.

Merry Christmas!

Jenny

  1. So wonderful to hear an update from you Jenny. A massive Merry Christmas to you and your wonderful family, I really hope that 2014 is as good a year as this one has been and that you get the renovations successfully completed, I know you've been at it a long time but it's going to be more than worth it at the finish!

    1. First off… Merry Christmas Matthew - may it be your best yet!
Second… it will be hard for 2014 to surpass the epic-ness of this year, but I'm sure it will be equally awesome, particularly when ALL the renovations are done.

And last, but not least, know that you've been a major contributor to my state of happiness with your enthusiasm, support and endless kind words - for that, Matthew, I am deeply humbled and most grateful.

With smiles and cyber hugs, Jenny.

  3. Merry Christmas! Jenny to you and your family. Traditions are nice.

We have just enough snow to add that bit of seasonal flavor don't we? Take care but have fun, too.

  6. Merry Christmas Jenny! How sweet that you and your daughter do this every year. My 22 year old son and I were at the mall a couple of days ago and I suggested a photo with Santa for old time sake. He laughed at me.

So your house is all finished? I looked back at your posts...you have been one busy woman! Congratulations on all your hard work!

Have a happy New Year too!!!!

    1. Ha, ha - Lisa, the last thing a son wants to do, at 22, is check in with Santa. As it is my daughter humours me, although secretly I think she has as much fun with the visit as I do.

One day I might post all twenty-six photos - it's funny seeing the growth of one's child… and subsequent "changes" that I've gone through as well.

My house is relatively finished outside save the railings and gutter systems… and the landscaping. But inside it's a different story! Though everything is functional it is hilarious seeing the state of my walls. Oh well… it is all part of my journey.

As always, thank you for dropping in to visit. I hope to be more active out here in Bloggerville now that the stress of beating the weather elements has been dealt with. Inside is a little easier that way!

Are you snowed in there, by you? If I'm not mistaken I think you get a fair bit of the white stuff - if so, enjoy it for me! Ours came and went within a couple of days.

Have a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
      With hugs and smiles, Jenny.

    1. Hi Hilary - so good to see you here! If only Santa could finish the rest of the project I'd be in heaven - alas, it will fall to me and my brother to hunker down and get to it once this festive time is over.

I wish you the very best, Hilary, for 2014 - with smiles, hugs and good cheer!
