Hello fellow bloggers - this is a community service post to encourage you to SECURE your blog.
I've made a short (2:49) video for you to see where you need to make this change on your blog.
HTTPS: ARE YOU SECURE
I'm talking about the HTTP setting - which is NOT SECURE, and many bloggers are in this category.
In the Blogger Settings, under Basic, you will see the option to change the HTTPS setting from No to Yes.
Yes is necessary to activate HTTPS to have a safe website/blog for your visitors.
All websites need to use encryption to ensure secure transfer of information – sensitive or not.
Thanks for taking a look, and for upgrading your blogs.
PLEASE SHARE THIS ON YOUR BLOGS TO REACH AS MANY BLOGGERS AS WE CAN.
For more info on HTTPS visit this PAGE.

Thank you Jenny. And cheers to you too. :)
ReplyDeleteNo, thank you! LOL
DeleteI really appreciate how quick you did the change. It benefits all of us. :)
I had it on YES before but it bothered me somehow, I forgot how, so I turned it off :) I will switch it back if it bothers readers, but you were the first one to notice it so far :)
ReplyDeleteWe should also all have that cookie pop up box, but I hate it :)
It would be nice if Blogger made Yes the default, so it was an automatic thing that we didn't have to worry about.
DeleteAlso, they don't give enough info on the importance of the change in the HTTPS area. I think that would have also motivated me to change it earlier.
Anyway, thank you for doing it, Dezz - you've got a high traffic site and I'm sure your visitors appreciate it. I know I do. :) :)
There is definitely one blog which flashes the "NOT SECURE" warning. When I looked at the URL, it was indeed missing the "s" from "http."
ReplyDeleteOkay gonna go check mine now.
Thanks.
I checked. Good to go. I think I may have knew that.
DeleteHi Al, I knew from the get go, given your military background, you'd be one SECURE dude. LOL
DeleteMaybe, at some point when you're not busy rewriting History, you might do a community post too. Pretty please, with sugar on top! LOL
I'm shocked at the number of bloggers that are NOT SECURE - jeez Louise - how am I to trust my data won't be scarfed up by some lunatic hacker - you know, it could happen. (sigh, if only there was that much excitement in my life, another sigh - and a big gulp of wine - sigh)
Just sayin'
If this was Instagram I'd use a whole row of those prayer hands.
Well I have sorted that. So Cheers.
ReplyDeleteHi Rob, awesome news. I'm glad it all worked out for you and your blog.
DeleteCheers - and indeed, as I am "with red wine" I am raising a glass to you! :)
Thanks Jenny. Got mine fixed now :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome, Dolorah. Happy to know you're now a secure blog. :) :)
