WRITE BRAIN CHALLENGE - FREE and FLASH

Introducing the WRITE BRAIN CHALLENGE.

I love free writing - and flash fiction.

I want to share this passion with you!

                                           Do you free write?

Have you written any flash fiction?

Well - here’s a place you might like to visit.

Share your free writing and flash fiction by leaving your blog info in the comment area over at WRITE BRAIN CHALLENGE.  I’ll add your blog to the Blogroll where others can visit you.

Come check it out.

Are you part of the growing number of writers that are enjoying the spontaneous side of writing?

Cheers, Jenny

  1. I love to write by the seat of my pants. I think it's so much fun to see where the characters will take me. Sometimes, it ain't so easy though. The can run rampant. Have fun!!

    1. Characters will do that! And more.

I'm enjoying these (sometimes daily, but mostly weekly) challenges. I first discovered the free write concept in early July and have now done three.

I'm surprised how liberating it is to just write without plan or purpose. Some interesting stuff comes forth.

I dropped by your blog, nice to see you posting again… have fun on that bike.
You've inspired me to haul mine out, dust it off, and get back in the saddle.

Thanks, Elsie, for stopping by - started my day of with a smile. :) :)

    2. I also try writing by the seat of my pants. But, I can never get the pen to stay there.

    3. Oh Al, you silly boy - that's what duct tape is for!

    4. But, then, if I farted, I could KILL someone.

    5. Death by Pant Projectile - hmmm… you think there's a novel in there somewhere???

  2. I tried flash fiction.
Although the cops didn't find it too amusing when I whipped my trench coat open in the bus station.
Even though I promised to tell them a story.

    1. That conjures up a visual worthy of putting pen to paper - I can see you 'flashing' at the bus station… don't know if I'd write it up as a horror or a comedy though. :) :) :P

    2. Any time I flash, it's a short story.
      This makes me sad.

    3. So then it would be a tragedy...

  3. I never free write, every word comes with a $5 service charge. Last week I droned on for three hours about pro-wrestling storyline continuity errors and became a millionaire.

P.S. You now owe me money.

    1. Well, at $170 for that comment I'd say I got off easy… thank god I'm not a pro-wrestler with storyline continuity errors - like, that would be, you know… heavy!

  4. Love the flash! It may be what I'm looking for to get the engines going again. Been a bit distracted as of late.

    1. It's been a great way for me to clear out the cobwebs - that plus the fifteen minute free write exercises.

I've been working on a new piece - liking the change in my attitude, seems to help when I warm myself up with a quick no-thinking exercise.

I can imagine the garden, and all those amazing changes you're doing to the yard, are keeping you hopping, and the pen not! You'll get back in the saddle when you're ready. :)

Thanks for dropping by and sharing your thoughts.

I'd give you a penny for them, but alas we just snuffed it out. Yup...gone!
It's all about the nickel now...so at this rate you can leave 5 thoughts!

Cheers, Jenny
