As the tide rolls in and the sun sets…

a sandy beach is a beautiful place to catch a miracle.
I saw this magical water creature; a mermaid playing at the water's edge.
And I was there to capture her on film.

There are more amazing pictures over at Underwater Tales.
Too often the magic of our youth is replaced by the pressures of adulthood and we quickly forget to let our inner child come out to play.
Join Courtney Mermaid as she fulfills her childhood dream of swimming with the water bound inhabitants of Planet Earth; doing her part by encouraging all of us to appreciate the beauty and life that lives in the waters of our world.
Please drop by Underwater Tales where you can watch her create the beautiful tails she swims in and read the tales she tells of what living a dream is like.
Take a moment and let your inner child come out to play!

Dream Big, Live Fully and Laugh Often!
Cheers, Jenny

  2. Oilfield - Thank you for dropping by. Please do check out Courtney's site - it is rather inspiring!

Claudia - Yes, it is! Courtney has been creating tails for about six years now and this particular one is quite something to see in action.
Every time I see her swim in it I have a hard time not thinking she's a real mermaid.

  3. Do I hear a proud mama here? Yes, I'd say I do!

  4. Carole - yes, you hear correctly! I'm proud of Courtney's accomplishments with respect to following through with this new tail, from designing it to painting and all the steps in between - she really has done a remarkable job.

The interesting thing is watching how people react to it. It's like nothing I've ever seen - people, of all ages, are drawn to her and are so fascinated that they are almost certain she's the real thing!

Some kids, the really young ones, cling to their parents and are quite shy about approaching here - I guess through their young eyes she really has a tail, and I think for some it's a little too real!

We are having such fun with the photo shoots and she now is starting to get job offers - like the ones you talked to her about!

We'll keep you in the loop and let you know how thing play out in that department.

    Hugs, Jenny

  8. I checked out Underwater Tales. It's fantastic. You should be proud.
By the way, I agree about the inner child. A lot of adulthood just isn't worth the pressure.
That's why I like to laugh. Thanks for putting a smile on my face this morning.

  17. Mermaids are just plain hawwt. Even fictional ones, like Ariel. Well, until she became human at the end. Quitter. But, indeed. I will join in hopes of seeing more hot mermaid's that will humble the habitual hobbit in me.

  18. ib - Yah, who would give up a tail for legs - and for love no less!
    Ditto the quitter bit!
And...aren't you the sweetie for adding yourself as a Follower - I'm going to have to do something special for those of you that jumped on board the Mermaid bandwagon!

  19. So what happens to the tails when they wear out? Do you filet them and deep fry them? Could be an after business. Seriously though that is really neat.

  20. Bushman - You made me laugh...

Thanks for dropping by and leaving your comment - which is thought provoking and worthy of taking a minute out of my busy schedule (of blog hopping with coffee in hand) and pondering the post production worn-out tail issue, which you have, with great concern, brought to my attention!

Yikes...coffee is really strong this sunny Friday morning!

    Cheers, Jenny
